Yo-Yo Brooches and Headbands

I decided to take a short break from working on cat toys and choose to make some more yo-yo brooches. I am very pleased with how these turned out. Since I wanted to try and add some more variety to the selection of yo-yo pins I used some different cotton fabric and scraps.

Recently we(my fabulous business partner/mother and I) have been toying with the idea of making me some fun headbands out of yo-yos, beads, ect. We have come up with several ideas-They just need to be attempt to see what works. And seeing as a certain blogger loves to make yo-yos it was only natural that my first attempt at making adornments for headbands came in the form of sewing some. I have sewn three of these so far but I will probably sew a couple more at least. Plus we are going to try out some of our other ideas. I will keep you posted. : )

Yo-yo Magnets

Since I had some leftover yo-yo magnets from the show we did in December we decided to list some in our Etsy shop. I hope these do as well on Etsy as they have at the HodgePodgery. You get a set of 5 for $5. The ones pictures as well as the other set that is listed right now are made from vintage buttons and designer fabric scraps. The magnets we used our rare earth magnets-super strong!

Oodles Of Yo-Yos

I can't help myself I keep making them. I may need a 12 step program soon. I make them even when I have no project in mind to use them in. Here are some of my latest yo-yos. If I ever decide what to use these particular ones for I will be sure to post.

Yo-Yo Magnets

I make these using my smallest clover yo-yo maker, buttons, and fabric scraps. Sometimes I use small scraps from other projects or else I use fabric from decorator's samples books. And then I repurpose even more by using used canning jar lids to hold sets of 5.
