1st tier: Raspberry Scones and Whipped Cream Cheese, 2nd tier: Grilled Ham and American Cheese-served on a pretzel roll with cucumbers, sprouts and herb sauce, Pantry Club-grilled turkey and bacon with brie, lettuce, tomatoes, and herb sauce; served on grilled multigrain bread. 3rd tier: Raspberry Tarts, Chocolate Cream Cheese Bars, Strawberry Napoleons, and Mini Creme Brulee's. Everything was very good. And we can't wait to go back and try some more of The Hershey Pantry's yummy food. :)

Afternoon Tea at The Hershey Pantry
Last Thursday my mom and I went to The Hershey Pantry for tea to celebrate my birthday. You can order the afternoon tea from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. You get an assortment of tea packets to use-Bigelow and Tetley Tea. I would have liked a little more variety in the tea bag selections. First they serve you the soup of your choice from the daily choices. We chose the chicken noodle soup-it is pretty tasty! The rest of our food came out on the three tiered tray pictured here:

Sweet Remembrances Tea Room

Yesterday we went to Sweet Remembrances Tea Room in Mechanicsburg, PA to celebrate my birthday. We went to their SereniTEA which is on Wednesdays and the first Saturday of every month. More info can be found on their website: http://www.sweetremembrancestearoom.com/serenitea.htm
First we had to choose our individual pots of tea from the menu. They are 2 cup pots and are bottomless. You can even choose to try more than one kind of tea. I chose Party of The Jungle. I cant recall what other teas we chose for our first pots. They were all really good teas though. Mom even made it threw most of her 2nd pot of tea. She chose The Prince of Wales tea for her 2nd pot. It is a blend of black and green teas with black currants in it.
Our tea started off with a butternut squash and apple soup with a little bit of nutmeg sprinkled on top. The soup was very good and nice on such a cold winter day. Then came the rest of our tea food on an adorable 3 tiered tray. A tier of tea sandwiches and other savories, one of scones and fresh fruit, and the last contained assorted desserts.
1st tier:
broccoli quiche
spinach and parmesan spirals
curried chicken salad in cream puffs
cream cheese and pineapple sandwiches
2nd tier:
plain scones
lemon poppy seed scones
strawberries and orange slices
3rd tier:
strawberry jelly roll
white chocolate cookies
lemon cakes with lemon curd and sprigs of lemon on top
We also had clotted cream and strawberry jam for our scones. Everything tasted wonderful. My favorite thing was the spinach and parmesan spirals and I was plesantly suprise that I liked the curried chicken salad in the cream puffs. The decor was very lovely and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time. :)
