The Dawn of a New Era for the HodgePodgery

The HodgePodgery is back and better than ever at it's new location- 1320 N 3rd St Harrisburg, PA. This great shop is chock full of handmade items made by local artisans. They have hair accessories, jewelry, soap, hats, magnets, and so much more. If you're looking to buy a unique handmade gift for yourself or a friend/family member this is definitely a place you should check out. Best of all you are supporting a local business! You can visit and peruse the wares on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 am-7 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am-5 pm.

PA Farm Show 2011

It's that time again, PA Farm Show Week. I always enjoy visiting the Pennsylvania Farm Show. The food is always quite tasty especially the potato donuts which we usually eat till we can't stand to look at them any more. I doubt the farm show has anything that isn't tasty. Tasting the samples in the food market place section is always fun too. Here are some photos I took of this years show.

Artsfest

A storm is brewing outside and I have 2 hours till Royal Pains starts so here I am writing a blog post. On Sunday I went with my mom to help at The HodgePodgery's tent at Artfest. (We consign under our business, avocado) The weather was very nice that day. Perhaps I bit too nice as I got a little sun on my shoulders and back. Ouchie! There was so much to see and eat too. I wish we could have gotten to see more art but we got tired of walking. And there were so many tents set up. I had a lovely day even if I was very tired after words.
